How do I apply for a position with DHA?
DHA accepts resumes and/or applications on an ongoing basis. You may fax or mail a resume and/or application. You may also apply in person at 777 Grant Street 2nd Floor. Your application/resume will be kept on file for 6 months should a position fitting your qualifications becomes available.
I see you have a Notice to Promote or Hire. May I apply for this position?
The Notice to Promote or Hire is an internal posting of a position. You may apply for the position however, first consideration for the position will be given to regular employees of DHA. If no regular employee is found to fill the position then DHA will consider all outside applications and/or resumes including contract and special program employees.
What kinds of positions are available at DHA?
DHA has a variety of salaried positions from entry-level clerical and maintenance jobs to managerial, professional and administrative positions. DHA also has hourly paid positions to assist in the implementation of grants. Some hourly paid and contract positions require residency in DHA owned properties.
How long after I submit my application and/or resume will I hear from you?
Anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months. All applicants will be contacted either by phone or by mail.
Where can I find open positions with DHA?
DHA does not have a job line. Open positions are posted on its internet site and posted on the bulletin board at 777 Grant Street 2nd floor. DHA does advertise on JOBING.com, in the Sunday newspaper and Mayor’s Office of Workforce Development.
