Compliant Inspections

The Inspection Department will arrange for an appointment with the family and/of the landlord regarding the complaint.  If the inspection reveals failed Housing Quality Standards (“HQS”) item(s), the responsible party has 30 days (providing it is not an emergency) to make the necessary repairs or the Housing Assistance Payments (“HAP”) payment may be delayed, or the contract for that unit may be cancelled.

Family caused damages are the responsibility of the family.  Normal wear and tear repairs are the responsibility of the landlord.  The landlord and/or the family can request an inspection for a HQS item(s) that has not been addressed.
